Teresa Deblon Kartischko

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Teresa Deblon Kartischko of Moncks Corner, SC on June 20, 2026 at the age of 66 years old.

Born December 4, 1959 in Bogota, NJ and passed on June 20, 2026 in Berkeley County, SC.

She was born to Charles Matthew Deblon and Christina “Pat” Claus.

Teresa worked in management for many years and had obtained her Bachelor’s degree. In recent years, she had to stop working due to health issues and became a homemaker to her loving husband and pets. She was a member of Metro North Church in Goose Creek, SC. Teresa loved volunteering at the church craft fairs, events, helping out in the kid’s rooms, and making communion bread.

Teresa loved to crochet, knit and sew and it brought her pure joy to make a gift for a loved one. She loved her time at the beach whether it was with her friends, daughter and even her husband joined her for a few trips. She loved everyone with all her heart and believed in forgiveness. Teresa never hesitated to try and make someone laugh when they needed it most. You would often find her sitting on her couch, drinking coffee with her husband, and throwing the orange ball with her dog Lonnie or being a kneading post for her cat Puma. One thing that she gave to her family members, friends and anyone who would listen, was her love of Elton John and his music. If you were around her for even a small amount of time, you were going to know an Elton John song by the end of it.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mark Kartischko; her daughter LeeAnn (Michael) Middleton, her son Christopher (Danielle) Brown; her grandchildren Maryssa, Ayden, Lexi and Ashlyn; and her siblings Joyce Luttrell, Charles Deblon, George Deblon, and Patti Proctor and their spouses. She also leaves behind the many nieces and nephews she was so proud of.

She was predeceased by her father, Charles Deblon and her mother, Christina “Pat” Claus.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Metro North Church, 109 Central Ave. Goose Creek, SC 29445. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Metro North Church in her honor.
