Virginia “Ginny” White, 75, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away peacefully at home—just as she wished—surrounded by love, her “special angels,” and her loyal dog Chico, on Thursday, December 4, 2025.Born April 26, 1950, in Boston, MA, Ginny was the daughter of John and Margaret “Rita” Hobbs. Ginny grew up in Billerica, MA. A lifelong caregiver with a heart far bigger than herself, Ginny devoted her life to serving others. She began her career as a nurse’s aide, offering compassion and steady hands to those in need. Later, she fulfilled her dream of opening Ginny’s Thrift Store in Leominster, MA—quickly turning it into a community lifeline. Through her work, she helped house the displaced, feed the hungry, protect the vulnerable, and support veterans, families, survivors, and the elderly. A woman of action, Ginny built a homeless shelter, created a food pantry, supported local schools, and ensured no child left her store hungry. Her guiding rule was simple: Do what is right and be kind. Even after retiring to South Carolina, she continued her mission, filling blessing boxes, cooking meals for the homeless, and caring for elderly neighbors. Ginny’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion. She touchedcountless lives and will be deeply missed.She is survived by her grandchildren Shawn LeBlanc, Silvia White, Alyssa White, CodyDenning, Austin Allen, Joseph White III, and Valentina White; great-grandson Lucas LeBlanc;brothers Robert Hobbs and John “Jack” Hobbs; niece Joanne Anderson; and her beloved bonusfamily Sophia, Stephan, Tyler, and Patrick Leeman, along with many nephews and friends sheconsidered family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack White; her parents; and siblings Billy, Jimmy, Tommy, and Rita. Honoring her wishes, no formal funeral will be held. A private gathering will take place at her home in Goose Creek, with a blessing for her grandchildren to follow in Cogshall Park, Fitchburg, MA, on a date to be determined.
