Barbara Williams Smith

Barbara Williams Smith, age 77, of Chapin, South Carolina passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1949 in Columbia, South Carolina to Horace and Doris Williams.

Barbara had an enthusiasm for life and a great love for others, especially her family. She liked to stay busy engaging in activities with her friends or in one of her many interests. Among her favorites were gardening, jewelry making, and cooking. She had a love of all animals, especially her dogs, all named Amos.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Samual Eugene Smith Sr.; by her parents, Horace Doey Williams and Doris Cassidy Williams; and her brothers Ronald Williams and Horace “Button” Williams, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Lianna Michelle Waldner (Clarence), and son, Samuel Eugene Smith Jr.; and by her three grandchildren, Jared Waldner (Caroline), Daniel Waldner (Victoria), and Parker Smith.

Barbara will be buried at  Southland Memorial Gardens. The memorial service is private.
