Bonita Taylor Hook

Bonita Taylor Hook, born November 27, 1942, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 17, 2026.

Bonita was the daughter of Lewis and Gladys Taylor. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Angela (Michael) Phipps; her son, Christopher (Robin) Hook; her brother, Mickey (Lynda) Taylor; her aunt, Margaret Taylor; her sister-in-law, Barbra Taylor; and her cousins, Anne Cameron, Susan Edens, Donna Stone, Tarzie Backman, June Willbanks, and Jerry Doolery. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were among the greatest joys of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sherri Rodgers; her brothers, Terry Taylor and Tony Taylor; and her grandson, Garrett Rodgers.

Family was the most important thing in Bonita’s life, and she absolutely adored her family. Her love, kindness, and devotion to those around her were evident in everything she did. Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Mickmama,” and you could always count on her to bring a smile to your face. She was an amazing person and had a special way of lighting up any room. She touched the lives of many people with her warmth and wonderful spirit.

Bonita loved being outdoors, especially planting and tending to her flowers and taking time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Her love of nature, her family, and the simple joys of life will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Bonita will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and the many lives she touched.

The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
