Claudia Strickland

Claudia Strickland, 75, passed away on November 25, 2025, in West Columbia, South Carolina. Born on November 26, 1949, she lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and a joyful spirit that touched those around her.

A proud graduate of Camden High School and the University of South Carolina, Claudia dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Disability Determination Examiner with the State of South Carolina. Her work reflected her deep compassion and commitment to helping those in need.

Claudia was a devoted mother to her son, Andy Strickland (Gary Jeffers) of Columbia, SC. She shared a special bond with her best friend, Tommy Moseley of Orangeburg, SC. She also held close relationships with her first cousins, Stan Morris (Karen) and Ken Morris (Vicki), and Beverly Wells.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Louise "Tinky" Sjolin and Oscar "Andy" Sjolin, as well as her brother, Edward Sjolin.

Claudia will be remembered for her kind heart, caring nature, and the joy she brought others. A true lover of cats, she found happiness in simple pleasures and shared that light generously with others. Her Christian faith was a guiding force throughout her life.

A celebration of life event will be announced at a later date for family and friends to gather in remembrance.
