Dean Martin Mount

Dean Martin Mount, 77, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born November 7, 1948, to Leon Briggs Martin, Jr. and Bette Jane Martin in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She and her siblings were taught to love Jehovah God and she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 5, 1963.

She married A. Wayne Mount on June 17, 1966, and they shared 53 years together. They raised three children together and enjoyed many grandchildren.

Dean loved sewing, crocheting, cooking, playing the piano and absolutely adored children of all ages.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband and her first grandchild “Scottie” Scott Mount, Jr., she is survived by her brothers, Rick Martin and his wife Sheilah, Buster Martin and his wife, Goria, and Sammy Martin and his wife, Sherry; sisters, Bette Leon Baugh and Vickie Wyatt and her husband, Mike;  three children, Jody Mount and his wife, Jennifer, Scott Mount and his wife, Melissa, and Tracy de Tiege and her husband, Paolo. There are also five grandchildren who were very dear to Dean, Wyatt Mount, Isabelle Poston and her husband, Tucker, Joshua Mount and his wife, Emmalee, Jacob Mount and Jason Mount. She also has four great-grandchildren, Asher Poston, Brynn Poston, Luke Mount and Kennedy Mount.

She will be dearly missed.
