Donna Lynn Hensley Simoneau, of Columbia, South Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2026.
She was born Sunday, October 20, 1952, at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois to Ronald Gene Hensley and Jo Ann Shealy Hensley. She leaves behind her daughters, Sheila Hardwicke Moore (Champe) and Brittany Simoneau (Angelo); her precious granddaughters, Morgan Cirlot White (Jack), Sullivan Corum (Parker), Emory Moore, and Angela Franks; her mother, Jo Ann Hensley Rhoades; her brother, Ronald Gene Hensley, Jr. (Pamela), and her sister, Samantha "Sammy Jo" Rhoades. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces, Adam Hensley (Summer), Chelsea Hensley Jones (Brian), Samuel Hensley, and Noah Jones. She was predeceased by her son, James E. Hardwicke, IV and her father, Ronald Gene Hensley.
Donna attended Dreher High School in Columbia, S.C. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her plants. She loved to crochet, especially blankets for her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She was very intelligent and funny. She also adored her cat, Silverton, and loved animals. She loved her church family at The Harvest Church in Lexington, SC. She was loved by her Connect Group members and enjoyed her online worship community. She loved the missionaries the Church sends out and supports worldwide, and she stayed abreast of what and how they were doing and prayed for safe and successful missions to spread the Gospel and to root and grow new Churches in other countries.
The family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
