Kevin "Kenny" Arlan O'Steen, Jr.

Kevin "Kenny " Arlan O'Steen Jr., 43, of Gaston, SC softly left this world September 3rd, 2026.

Kenny was a kind, soft-spoken, good-hearted man who lived a quiet life. He enjoyed the simple things and could be found stopping and sitting a while to chat with family members or working at the shop. The people who loved him will remember the funny moments and the good times along the way. Like all of us, Kenny had his struggles and even though his life was much too short, we know that the pains he had in this world are now over.

Kenny leaves behind his dad, Charles (Sonja) Sharpe; sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Reynolds (Mike) and Autumn Marshall (Chad); niece, Kirstin O'Steen, nephews, Gavin (Kiley) Reynolds, Bentley Marshall, Charlie Marshall and Kristopher Marshall; great nephews, Khyrie Johnson and Izyn Reynolds; grandfather, Charlie Sharpe and maternal grandmother, Martha "Pat" Martin, grandmother Myra Davis; special family members including aunts, uncles, many cousins, and a community of friends. He is predeceased by his mother who he loved and missed dearly, Patricia "Patty" Sharpe, grandmother, Betty Sharpe and maternal grandfather, Bill Day.

In his younger years Kenny grew up surrounded by a number of cousins he considered best friends living on "the hill". He spent his days playing video games, playing baseball, riding bikes and whatever else boys got into. As a teenager Kenny loved working at the shop with his dad, fishing at Santee, and putting stereo systems in his cars.

As much as Kenny will be missed down here, he leaves us with the memory of his life and the moments we shared together and may these comfort us in the days ahead.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
