Kimberly Keen Meetze
Jan 14, 1968 — Jul 11, 2026
In Loving Memory of Kimberly Keen Meetze
Kimberly Keen Meetze, 58, was born on January 14, 1968, to Mildred (Millie) Chumney Loftin and her late father, Nickey Doyle Keen. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.
Kimberly was a proud University of South Carolina alumna and a devoted Gamecock fan. She loved attending Carolina football games and cheering on the Lady Gamecocks basketball team. She dedicated her career as a paralegal for the State of South Carolina, where she served with professionalism and compassion.
Above all else, Kimberly treasured her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent making memories at Lake Murray with her beloved wife, Sandra Meetze, their children, and grandchildren. She had a heart full of love and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her family was her greatest joy, and she never missed an opportunity to support, encourage, and love those closest to her.
Kimberly is survived by her loving wife, Sandra Meetze; her mother, Millie Loftin; her mother-in-law, Martha Reynolds; her sister, Stacy Nates; her brother, Buddy Hooper; her children, Ashleigh Rainwater and her husband, Ryan Rainwater; Evan Vermullen; Tiffany Martinez and her husband, Adan Martinez; and her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Rainwater, Haileigh Martinez, Skyler Martinez, Max Martinez, and Natalie Vermullen. And many “adopted” children; Jakob Norris, Jessica Goodwin, Cameron Harrell, and Kandiss Damon.
A memorial service celebrating Kimberly’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 105 E. Butler St., Lexington, SC 29072.
Kimberly will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, and the joy she found in every moment spent with those she loved. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
