Lori Darnell Chaffin

Born on February 8, 1970, Lori was the daughter of Larry Shelley and Billie Cox, who preceded her in death.

Lori was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Jacob Chaffin, in March 2025. She missed him deeply.

Lori is survived by her son, Jordan Chaffin, and his longtime girlfriend, Deloris; her daughter, Taylor Sheets and her husband, Matt; and her grandchildren, Matt, Sophia, and Tommy.

She is also survived by her sisters, Tracie Shelley and her son, Pierce; and Ashley Shelley-Newton and her children, Kylie and Brandan, along with many extended family members and friends.

Lori loved people and never met a stranger. She loved her family, adored dogs, had a quick wit, a spicy personality, and a contagious sense of humor. She had a kind heart, and the outpouring of love from those who knew her is a reflection of the impact she made on so many lives.

Many have shared stories of Lori’s heart and the impact she had on their lives. She was deeply loved and will be remembered for the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the unique spirit that made her truly one of a kind.

Lori’s passing was sudden and tragic. Although her family is heartbroken by this loss, they find comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
