Lucy Rebecca Watts

Lucy Rebecca Watts, 83, of Blythewood, SC passed away September 19, 2026. She was born August 22, 1943 to the late James and Lucy Bell Watts.

Rebecca was a graduate of Blythewood High School. Early in life, she turned a love of cooking into a career, opening and operating several restaurants in South Carolina, notably Lucy Bell’s on Daufuskie Island. She was featured in several magazines and on The Cooking Channel, highlighting her talent for producing delicious recipes.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Klieve and her daughter, Allison Berry (Brent) and grandchildren, Landon and Kinley Berry. She is also survived by her sisters, June Smith and Sandy Boozer (Woody); brothers, James Watts (Mary), Richard Watts (Pam) and Kenny Watts (Christie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Cooper.

Rebecca was known for her culinary expertise, generosity, and sense of humor, which kept all of those around her entertained. Her grandchildren were the light of her life; and her beloved fur babies, Steadman and Panther, were her constant companions.

We know her journey will be one of sweet reunion with old friends and loved ones. We will miss your laughter, your free spirit and bringing the party wherever you went. Rest well dear mom, memaw, sister and aunt.
