Megan Stevenson

Dec 4, 1984 — Jul 7, 2026

Some people leave their mark not by the length of their life, but by the depth of their love, the strength of their spirit, and the kindness they share with others. Megan was one of those rare souls.

Megan is now at rest in the Loving arms of our Lord and Savior.

At just 41 years old, she left this world far too soon, but not before teaching everyone who knew her what true resilience looks like. Throughout her life, she faced more medical challenges than most could imagine. Yet she carried those burdens with extraordinary grace, quiet courage, and an unwavering determination. She rarely complained, choosing instead to focus on the beauty around her and the people she loved.

She had a gift for seeing potential where others saw the ordinary. Whether she was hunting for hidden treasures in antique shops, transforming forgotten pieces of vintage jewelry into beautiful works of art, or breathing new life into houses through renovation and restoration, she found joy in creating something meaningful from what others overlooked.

She was equally at home with a pool cue in her hand, enjoying friendly competition and laughter with family and friends. She had a quick smile, a warm heart, and an infectious spirit that made people feel welcome wherever she went.

Those who loved her will remember her not for the hardships she endured, but for the grace with which she endured them. They will remember her generous heart, her artistic soul, her determination, and her ability to find beauty in life’s simplest moments. She reminded us that strength isn’t always loud; sometimes it’s found in choosing hope, kindness, and gratitude every single day.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on-in the homes she restored, the art she created, the treasures she discovered, and most importantly, in the countless lives she touched with her compassion and love.

Megan was born on December 4, 1984 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She leaves behind her mother, Karen (Kessler) Harris and stepfather, Terry, father, Michael Stevenson and stepmother, Lisa, her sister and best friend, Michele Stevenson (Jason), grandmother, Shirley Gilpin, grandfather, Ted Kessler (Debby), aunt, Deborah LaRose (Mike), uncle, Ted Kessler Jr. (Michelle) family and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and the extraordinary woman we were blessed to know and love.

May we honor her by living with the same resilience, embracing life’s imperfections, finding beauty where others cannot, and loving others with the same quiet, beautiful heart she shared so freely.

She is deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Final arrangements are private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made by planting a tree in her honor or donating in her honor to The American Kidney Foundation or Camp Rap-A-Hope (Children’s Cancer Camp) in Alabama.
