Pauline "Judy" Judith Levasseur

On September 3, 2026, Mrs. Pauline “Judy” Levasseur’s heavenly spirit joined her late husband, Vincent R. Levasseur, whose memory she held onto, even after enduring a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. The loving couple shared a passion for the acres of woods that were on their property, where they spent many days side by side, felling trees for firewood and just walking together hand in hand and enjoying nature.

Known for her humorous and playful spirit, Judy shared her passion for yard-sales with her closest friends and daughters, spending whole days collecting things for her room of “treasures.” Often to be found at home doing some of her favorite things - organizing her “tent” where she made many local acquaintances, or getting “organized” for the annual family & friends yard sale where she enjoyed the “haggle” over the smallest amount of money and where the participants were each other's best customers. One of her favorite collections was her hats, which became the entertaining theme of her 75th birthday party. She was appreciated for going a little “over-the-top” when decorating the family home for her two favorite holidays of Halloween and Christmas. Judy’s love for animals included horses, and any creature that crossed through the family farm where she kept binoculars on the windowsill so as not to miss any of the action. Even the groundhog that caused her husband’s garden daily damage had a name and a place in her heart.

Cherished wife, mother, “Grandmama” and “Grammy”, great-grandmother and beloved friend. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, April 21,1944, to parents, Elva and Paul Tower. Having lived most of her life in Campton and Thornton, New Hampshire, she retired to Columbia, SC after her husband’s passing, in order to be nearer to her daughter. Judy leaves behind; two devoted daughters Robin Sleeper (and her life-partner, Sam) and Paula Maxwell (and her husband, Max); two adored stepsons, Stacey Levasseur (and his wife, Maria) and Jamin Levasseur (and his wife, Jen); several loving grandchildren; Shane Turmelle (and his wife, Nicole), Chantille Bailey (and her partner, Michael), Dane Sleeper, Caleb Levasseur, Riley Levasseur, and Renee Beaudry-Levasseur; great-granddaughters, Addison Officer, and Lydia Bailey, and many lifelong friends who she treated like family; inviting them into her home for her famous whoopie-pies and conversation, while dropping a few pieces into the most recent puzzle on the card-table, or playing a game of cards. Extra places were set at the table for family gatherings, and often those same friends joined her and her husband at local church and firehouse suppers - but never on her weekly movie night because that was reserved for her night out with her best friend. Other friendships that have endured the test of time were formed during her many years of employment; in Waterville Valley, upholstery shops, and local retail stores.

Judy was cherished by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held in NH where her friends and family will gather to share funny stories, and cherished memories that made everyone’s lives richer for knowing her.
