Our Beloved Bobby Teeter

Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of Robert W. “Bob” Teeter, who passed away on August 11, 2026.

Bob was born to (and preceded in death by) James A. Teeter Jr. and Nancy Fox Teeter on January 29, 1958 in Greenwood, South Carolina. He graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1976 and proceeded to enlist in the Air National Guard 240th. Bob then worked at Westinghouse for 35 years until he retired.

Bob was more than a father and a Pa Teeter. He was the anchor of our family. His love and generosity was abundant, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel safe, loved, welcome, and a part of his family. And man, did he love Bat Cave!

He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife of 44 years, Jodi Tomasetta Teeter. He is also survived by his son, Zack Teeter and his wife, Ashley, daughter, Tiffany Teeter Blackburn, grandchildren, Siler, Saige, Shaun, Maddie and Jacob, sister, Carol (Lentz) Ivey, sister-in-law, Debbie Teeter, nieces and nephews, Lauren, William, Catherine, Jonathan and Matthew, and sister-in-law Debbie (Junior) Meehan.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 18, 2026 at 2pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.

We will miss his smile, laugh, generosity and sarcasm more than words can express.

Until we meet again, we will hold you in our hearts. We love you. We miss you. We will never forget you.
