Thelma Lee McMurry Fisher

Thelma Lee McMurry Fisher passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born in Hartwell, Georgia on July 23, 1939, to William Levi McMurry and Addie Lee Crowe McMurry. Thelma graduated from Concord High School in Concord, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin “Bud” Fisher, her mother, Addie Lee Crowe McMurry, her father, William Levi McMurry, her brother, Hoyt McMurry, and her sister, Linda Richardson.

Thelma is survived by one sister, Elaine Kepley, three children, Randy Fisher (Nadine), Timothy Fisher (Edie), and Pamela Fisher Goodale, seven grandchildren, Lee Gurganious, Lacey Brooks, Lindsey Fisher, Amanda Gurganious, Alan Fisher, Brooke Proctor, and Sean Fisher. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Hunter Gurganious, Raygan Segars, Alyia Grosh, Connor Gurganious, Natalie Gurganious, Logan Segars, Aubrey Grosh, Bently Grosh, and one great-great-grandchild, Cortlyn Gurganious.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for November 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shandon Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Drive, Columbia South Carolina 29205.
