Zachary Michael Paul Herron
Dec 4, 1999 — Sep 30, 2026
December 4, 1999 – September 30, 2026
Zachary Michael Paul Herron, affectionately known as Zach, 26, of Elloree, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2026.
Zach was a truly special person whose presence could never be replaced. He lived life with an adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed trucks, hunting, fishing, and especially duck hunting. He loved being outside, chasing the next adventure, and making memories along the way. Zach lived for the thrill of life and had a way of making even the simplest moments memorable.
Family was everything to Zach, and one of the most special relationships in his life was the bond he shared with his dad, James Herron. They were more than father and son — they were best friends. They shared a closeness that was easy to see, from the adventures they took together to the everyday moments they shared. Whether they were outdoors, working on something, riding around, or simply spending time together, Zach and his dad had a bond that was truly special. The love between them was undeniable.
Zach shared an equally special bond with his mom, Elizabeth Ulmer. She was not only his mother, but also his voice of reason. She was the person who could talk to Zach, keep him grounded, and remind him when he needed to slow down and think things through. Their relationship was filled with love, understanding, and the kind of bond that only a mother and son can share. No matter how much adventure Zach was looking for, his mom was always someone he could turn to.
Zach had a particularly special bond with his nephews, Trevor Herron, Jayyden Haynes, and Kaiden Haynes, whom he loved like they were his own. If you knew Zach, you probably knew that his nephews were going to get wrestled at some point. He loved picking on them, wrestling with them, laughing with them, and just being there with them. He wasn’t just their uncle — he was someone they looked up to, played with, and loved deeply. Those memories will stay with them forever.
Zach also had a very special companion in his life, his beloved dog, Macy, whom he loved like his own daughter. Macy was a huge part of Zach’s life, and the love he had for her was undeniable.
Zach will be deeply missed by his parents, James Herron (Odile) of Santee and Elizabeth Ulmer (Gerald) of Elloree; his siblings, Russlynn Herron of Cordova, Seth Phillips of Elloree, Brianna Phillips of Elloree, Savannah Herron of Santee, and Shawn Herron of Santee; his beloved grandmother, Nancy Herron; his nephews, Trevor Herron, Jayyden Haynes, and Kaiden Haynes; his special aunt, Freda Trupiano; his special cousin, Matthew Herron; his beloved dog, Macy; and his extended family and many friends who were blessed to know him.
Zach was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Evrin Herron. He is also preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Russell and Carmen Drennan.
Zach was one of a kind. There will never be another him, and the space he leaves behind can never truly be filled. His life was far too short, but the memories he created, the laughter he shared, the adventures he lived, and the love he gave will remain with his family and friends forever.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, trucks, hunting and fishing, his playful personality, and most of all, his love for his family. Though our hearts are broken that he is no longer here, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, every hug, every wrestling match with his nephews, every adventure with his dad, and every moment we were blessed to have with him.
Rest peacefully, Zach. You were one of a kind, you were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
