Cecil "Pup" Whatley
Sep 13, 1993 — Aug 25, 2026
It is with heavy, broken hearts that we announce the passing of Cecil “Pup” Whatley, age 32, who left this world on August 25, 2026. Pup Whatley was born in Winter Haven, FL on September 13, 1993 to Garrett and Andrea Whatley.
Pup Whatley was the epitome of living life to the fullest. From age 10 to 18 he raced motocross as an amateur rider winning multiple championships and titles. As he grew older, Pup shifted his focus toward building his skills and his career. He was the vice president of Coscia Land Management and was passionate and proud of the company he was building with his best friends. He loved being in the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, air boating, or riding dirt bikes. He enjoyed these things, but what he loved more was inviting others to experience his love for the outdoors along with him. You could always find him singing or dancing, specifically the 2-step. Above all else, he most loved spending time with his girls: his wife, Hailey Whatley, and their three beautiful daughters, Brylinn, Walker, and Jacksen. He built his life around helping others. His love for life was contagious and if you were lucky enough to spend time with him, you walked away loving life more because of the time spent with him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hailey Whatley, and their three daughters, Brylinn, Walker, and Jacksen; his parents, Garrett and Andrea Whatley; his sister, Chelsea Borowski, and brother in law, Bradley Borowski; his brother, Parker Whatley, and sister in law, Kara Whatley; his nieces, Presleigh and Kennedy Whatley; his grandparents, Ray and Dorene Brookins, Judy Lawson, Manley Lawson, and Janice Griffin; and his in laws, Mark and Jennifer Verschage, Daniel and Samantha Tuttle, and Kayla and Sean Riley.
As someone who took up such a huge space in everyone's hearts, he leaves a giant hole in our lives and will be deeply missed by all. But we do not grieve without hope, because we know he is with his Savior Jesus and we will be with him again. A celebration of life will be held at Venue 650 on September 6th at 1:00pm. Please join us in celebrating and honoring our beloved Pup.
