Devin Dewayne Hales

Devin Dewayne Hales, 78, of Lakeland, FL, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1948, in Blountsville, FL to Bernice Wooten Hales and Jack Hales. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bernice and Jack Hales; brothers: Jimmie and John Hales; his first grandson: Christopher Hales Golan; and his son: Franklin Dewayne Hales.

Devin attended Auburndale High School and later worked as the manager of Pizza Hut, then he was a delivery truck driver for a large meat company, Colorado Boxed Beef and finally on to opening his own business, Cleaning by Grace where he specialized in residential house cleanings but also took on larger business cleanings as well as move-outs and new construction clean ups. He really enjoyed scrapping old junk appliances and junk metals on the side and recently delved into coin collecting as a hobby. If he wasn't doing those then you could just about bet, he was out in the yard tinkering on small projects here and there. He could just about fix any and everything.

Devin is survived by his daughter: Tracy Allegato; his grandchildren: Jonathan, Stacey, and Taylor Allegato; great grandchildren: Carter Allegato, Gunner Fry, and Grace Allegato; sister: Barbara Huggins (Paul); brothers: JoeMack Hales (Stephanie) and Donny Hales.
