Donald Jackson Powell

Donald Jackson Powell passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on December 24, 1940, and will be remembered with love by those who knew him.

Donald was a lifelong block mason. His work reflected dedication, strength, and pride, and he spent his years building with his hands and serving through his trade.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Lynette, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage, and an infant son.

Donald leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Slover, and her husband, Keith; his son, Donald Powell Jr.; and his granddaughters, Ashley and Kortni. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will remember him with affection and gratitude.

Donald’s life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and enduring love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 8 at 10:00 at Wahneta Cemetery.
