Mary Louise Titus
Apr 23, 1948 — Sep 19, 2026
Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Titus, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2026, while at her home of 15 years in Winter Haven, Florida. She was in hospice care for a brief time.
She is survived by her husband John of 32 years; her son, Tim; her daughters, Julie and Christie; her stepson, Joal; her sister, Maggie, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Born on April 23, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mary Lou lived a life marked by faith and service to the people around her. She was, along with her husband, a member of Haven Worship Center where she was active in small group ministry. Her faith remained a guiding presence throughout her life and was reflected in the many ways she served others. She also loved worshipping the Lord and reading her Bible, the ocean, the fall season, butterflies and long road trips.
Mary Lou gave generously of her time and energy through her commitment to The Way Center for Women and Youth in Haines City, Florida where she volunteered and served on the Board of Directors. She also volunteered for Youth for Christ in the Winter Haven area, continuing a pattern of service that was evident across many areas of her life. In addition to her ministry and volunteer work, she worked as a school bus driver for 15 years, was a legal and medical secretary, and more recently a mobile home resales agent while living in Florida.
Mary Lou will be remembered for the powerful faith that shaped her life. Her life’s story is one of trust and belief in God; dedication and love for her family, and her meaningful involvements in her church and community. Those who knew Mary Lou will remember a woman whose life reflected the convictions she held dear and whose presence touched the lives of many,
