Beverly Ann Nichol
Mar 13, 1933 — Oct 9, 2026
Beverly Ann Nichol passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, in Boise, Idaho, with her family
by her side. She lived a long and adventurous life, touching the hearts of many through her work
for people in need.
Beverly was one of nine siblings and attended Boise High School. Throughout her life, she
dedicated herself to caring for others, serving as a nurse and as a house mother at Hayes Home in
Boise. Her compassion and tough love made a difference in the lives of those she rescued and the
many people she helped.
Beverly remained adventurous well into her 90s. She especially enjoyed taking day trips with her
brother and other family members, creating memories and sharing in the simple joys of spending
time together. She was also a familiar and beloved presence in her neighborhood, where many
came to know her through her frequent walks around the block or crawling through the garden
keeping the weeds in check every day the weather would allow. These walks and chats with
neighbors reflected her independent spirit and her connection to the ancestral North End
community she called home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Dorothy Ogden, and her daughters Carrie
and Judy. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane, Sarah, and Carla; her nieces and
nephews; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward her memory.
Beverly will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her dedication to helping others, and her
fierce political views in her community. Her life was a testament to the value of staying active,
and finding joy in everyday moments. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
