Donna Jean Reece

Donna Jean Reece passed at 73 on September 29, 2026 surrounded by family and friends in her home in Meridian, Idaho after a long battle with breast cancer. She fought like a warrior.

She was born Donna Jean Lyle on September 11, 1953 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of the late Howard and Sylvia ‘Ann’ Preuss Lyle. She married Dean Reece on April 5, 1975 in Janesville, WI where they raised their two daughters, Laura and Stacie. Dean and Donna later settled in Meridian, Idaho to be closer to their grandsons, Aidan and Alex Eisenberg.

Donna was a proud grandmother, passionate gardener with a huge berry patch, and loved to can salsa and green beans. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star where she just received her 50 year pin, a member the Idaho Chariots, Ladies Camaro Club of the Pacific Northwest, and Embroiders Guild of America in which she spent hours embroidering gifts for loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Reece, her daughters, Laura Neill and Stacie Reece, her sister, Nancy Hasse and brother, David Lyle (Jan) and her grandsons, Aidan and Alex Eisenberg who were the lights of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 7, at Summers Funeral Home in Meridian, ID.
