Donna Salisbury

Sep 16, 1929 — Aug 3, 2026

Donna (Stouffer) Salisbury passed away peacefully August 3, 2026, with family by her side leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family who will forever carry her in their hearts.

She was born in Gordon, Nebraska, September 16, 1929 to Clarence and Uneta Stouffer and was the youngest of five children. She graduated from Gordon High School in 1946 then went to work for the State of Idaho Industrial Commission, worked there a total of 31 years retiring in 1989.

She married her high school sweetheart Gerald Salisbury, November 23, 1947, and to this union five children were born.

Donna's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children Cherie (Ken) Hovde, Gary (Cevillia) Salisbury, Karen (Dennis) Law, Ron (Alice) Salisbury, Steve (Tina) Salisbury, grandchildren Chris (Jen) Law, Jamie (Mike) Sharpe, Amy (Shaun) Archuleta, Matt Salisbury, Lacey (Mike) Arocha, Parker Salisbury, 14 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and dear friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Clarence, Keith, Maxine and Barbara (Bobbie) and her beloved husband of 73 years Gerald Salisbury.

Donna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Throughout her life, she touched those around her with her kindness, warmth and caring spirit. She will be remembered not only for the roles she held within her family, but for the many small moments that made her presence so special—the conversations, daily prayer time, laughter, traditions and memories shared with the people she loved.

Those who knew Donna will remember her for the commitment to her faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour, as an active church member, time spent in her flower gardens, making afghans, watching sports, jig saw puzzle enthusiast, bingo, card and dice games. So many wonderful memories and friends during her 5+ years at Garden Plaza at Valley View. Her memory will live on through the stories her family tells, the traditions she helped create and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

Special thanks to the wonderful and compassionate staff from White Oak Hospice, and her very dear friend Dorthy Stevens.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 10:00am at Whitney Bible Church, 2309 W Dorian St, Boise, ID. Lunch will follow the service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
