Myrtle Louella Swift
January 24, 1951 — May 25, 2026
Myrtle Louella Swift was born on January 24, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Pearl Patterson and Donald Patterson. She passed away on May 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and devotion that will be cherished forever.
In 1971, Myrtle married the love of her life, William Leon Swift. Together, they built a beautiful family grounded in love, faith, and commitment. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who deeply cherished her family. Holidays, Sunday dinners, and time spent together were among her greatest joys.
She is survived by her children, Lee Swift, James Swift, and Nicole Carreto; her son-in-law, Rey Carreto; and daughters-in-law, Angela Swift and Jennie Lee Swift. She was a loving grandmother to Keisha Bataluna, Meyah Swift, and Teaella Swift, and a proud great-grandmother to Kyrie, Kekoa, and Niko.
Myrtle dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. She found joy in simple moments, including scenic drives with her husband, coffee dates with her daughter Nicole. With her sons, Lee and James, she shared many meaningful and often laughable conversations that reflected the strong bond and joy within their family.
A woman of strong faith, raised in the COGIC faith, Myrtle was a devoted Christian who believed deeply in God, the Holy Spirit, and the power of prayer. She often encouraged her family to pray and trust in the Lord, saying, “Give it to the Lord—He will fix it.”
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, loving heart, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she is no longer physically present, her love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of her family.
