Patricia J. Fairchild

Patricia was born January 25, 1934 in Borger, Texas to Clyde A. Stewart and Audrey B. Stewart Miller. She was called home by her Heavenly Father on October 23, 2026.

Shortly after her birth, her mother moved her, her two brothers, and her sister to Long Beach, CA. She attended John C. Freemont grade school. When she was 11 years old they moved to Meridian, ID where she graduated from Meridian High School in 1951.

She moved back to Lakewood, CA after graduation. There, she met the love of her life James B. Fairchild. They married in Yuma, AZ on February 22, 1953 and had three children. In 1966 they moved back to Meridian, ID.

Pat held several jobs; her first was at Herb's Ice Cream Parlor where she worked after school. She also worked at Pacific Mutual Life Insurance, Industrial Indemnity, Meridian Grade School, a chiropractic office, and the medical department of Nampa Job Corps.

Pat and Jim enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, camping and long vacations with the children. They often spent evenings playing music together: Jim played his guitar and sang, and Pat accompanied him on the piano.

Pat is survived by her children: Stephen B. Fairchild of Boise, ID, Glen A. Fairchild of Meridian, ID, and Sharon L. Fairchild of Twin Falls, ID. Two grandchildren, Jennifer Fairchild (Steve #2) and Justin B. Pierce (LaDawn) and five great-grandchildren, Jude, Harper, Krystal, Damien, and Elliot. She was preceded in death by her mother Audrey B. Miller, her father Clyde A. Stewart; brothers, Clyde D. Stewart and Robert Stewart, her sister, Wanda M. Lounsbury, and great-grandchild, Sophie. 

Services and burial are under the direction of Summers Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Meridian Cemetery.
