Peter Lee Grant

Peter Lee Grant, 87, passed away surrounded by the love of family and the memories of a life well lived.

Born in Lincoln, Maine on April 5, 1939 to Hervey and Ernestine Grant. Peter lived a life defined by dedication, service, hard work, and a deep love for his family and faith. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Grant and a proud father to Kevan Grant, Kathryn Crump, and Kyle Grant and his step daughter Angela Hoff.

Peter's commitment to service was an important part of his life. He enlisted in the United States Navy and continued his service through the Navy Reserves, dedicating more than two decades to his country. His devotion to duty and service reflected the character and integrity that he carried throughout his life.

Following his military service, Peter enjoyed a successful professional career spanning more than 30 years with Hewlett-Packard and Jabil Circuit. He was respected for his dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

Above all, Peter cherished his family. He was a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. His family was a source of tremendous pride and joy, and his love and influence will live on through each of them.

When Peter was not spending time with family, he could often be found pursuing one of his greatest passions: fly fishing. He especially loved fishing on Silver Creek in Sun Valley, Idaho, where the beauty of nature and the peaceful rhythm of the water brought him great happiness. Those moments on the creek were among the many experiences that reflected his appreciation for life and the simple pleasures it offered.

Peter will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud veteran, successful professional, and a man who lived his life with purpose. His legacy is found not only in his many accomplishments but, more importantly, in the family he loved and the lives he touched.

Peter was baptized Catholic on July 26, 1962. He was very active in every parish he attended, serving in the Knights of Columbus, lector, food bank or anything he was asked to do. He said the rosary daily and never missed mass. He was devoted to the Lord.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends. Though he is gone from our sight, his memory, his values, and his love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
