Anna Patricia Sheppard
January 14, 1941 – June 16, 2026
Anna Patricia "Nana" Sheppard, a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children and family in Ruskin, Florida, on June 16, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born in Tampa on January 14, 1941 Anna was known for her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
True to her cherished nickname, "Nana" she lived for her family. She was happiest when her home was filled with the voices of her children and grandchildren, and she expressed her love for them through her incredible cooking.
A woman of strong faith, she also found great comfort and joy in reading her Bible daily.
Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Raymon W. Sheppard Sr.; her parents, Edgar and Emma Kersey; her daughter, Tina Church; and her brothers, Walter Kersey, Paul Kersey, and Joe "Calvin" Kersey.
She is survived by her children, Raymona Thomas, Raymon W. Sheppard, Jr., Angie Deal (Bill McClary), and Gabe Sheppard (Becky); her brother, Edgar Kersey Jr.; and her sister, Mary Buck., and her sister-in-law Sharon Kersey.
She was the proud and loving "Nana" to 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought endless joy to her life.
And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And lead me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
