Anne K. Tansey Obituary
In Loving Memory of Anne K. Tansey (nee Kevlin), 86, of Sun City Center, Florida, who died peacefully the morning of September 28, 2026. Anne was the loving wife of the late John “Jack” Tansey for 60 years and the devoted mother of Kimberly Hayes (James), Michael, and Sean Tansey. She was the loving and cherished grandmother to Rebecca and Eric Hayes, and the dear sister of Mary Kevlin (Dean). Anne was also the beloved aunt to Christopher Sethi, Louisa Sethi (James Martinez), George, Calea, Kaighn Kevlin, Calea’s three children Fynn, Bodhi and Sierra and loving aunt to her many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, George and Leah (nee Knox) Kevlin, her brothers, George (Margaret) and Charles Kevlin, her niece, Marisa Kevlin, and her granddaughter, Kylie Marie Hayes.
Born and raised in Ardmore, PA, Anne attended Haverford High School in Havertown, PA, and Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work.
A long-time parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Anne deeply cherished her family and friends. She was truly gifted at connecting with people and could always be counted on to provide wisdom, guidance, and advice whenever it was needed. Wherever she went, Anne’s smile and laughter would light up the room. Although Anne lived with multiple sclerosis for much of her adult life, she faced its challenges with strength and courage, always putting her family first and set a tremendous example of positivity and strength.
An exceptional cook, Anne loved to host parties and was never one to shy away from trying a new recipe. Among her fondest memories were summers with family and friends at the shore in Avalon, NJ, which spanned from Anne’s youth all the way through her years as a grandmother.
