Josephine Ortiz
August 6, 2001 — May 14, 2026
In memory of Josephine Ortiz
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Josephine Ortiz, age 24, of Wimauma, Florida, on May 14, 2026.
Our family has lost its heartbeat. Josephine Ortiz, a radiant mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly from a stroke at the tender age of 24. Her completely unexpected departure has left a void in our hearts and lives that words cannot begin to fill. Josephine was a remarkable woman whose profound strength was matched only by her gentle kindness. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for lighting up any room she walked into, effortlessly bringing joy, laughter, and comfort to everyone around her. She leaves behind her two greatest treasures: a one-year-old Tailia and a three-month-old, Tym’El. She was eagerly preparing for her wedding and excitedly building a beautiful future. She was deeply cherished by her parents, her two siblings, her fiancé, and a vast, loving extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
A celebration of Josephine’s beautiful, vibrant life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 12:30PM - 5:00PM and on Sunday May 24, 2026 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at Sun City Center Funeral Home, located at 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573. A graveside service will immediately follow at Lake Wimauma Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider extending your love and grace to the children she left behind. Donations can be made to a memorial fund established to support their future care and education at https://gofund.me/ac73f91b2
