Nichole "Nikki" Kristen Girlado
August 5, 1986 — May 9, 2026
Nichole "Nikki" Kristen Giraldo (White) , a devoted mother, loving wife, and dedicated nursing professional, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 39 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on August 5, 1986, Nikki’s life was marked by a profound commitment to caring for others, both through her career and her generous spirit.
Nikki was a proud graduate of Fellowship Baptist Academy in Carson City, Michigan, and furthered her education at Rasmussen College of Nursing, where she earned a master’s degree in nursing. Her passion for the medical field was evident in her work as a nurse and as a nursing instructor, roles in which she imparted knowledge and compassion to countless students. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Nikki’s dedication to helping others extended into her community involvement, often alongside her husband David.
Her love for travel reflected a meticulous nature, delighting in every detail of planning adventures around the globe. This enthusiasm also led Nikki to work part-time as a travel agent, combining her passions for organization and exploration. Quietly and humbly, Nikki and David extended their support to many in their community, offering financial and personal assistance without seeking recognition or praise.
Nikki is survived by her husband, David Giraldo, and her beloved children: son Isaak Russell and daughter Isabella “Bella” Giraldo, as well as her cherished grandson, ‘AJ’ Russell. She also leaves behind her parents Rick and Sharon White; sisters Deborah “Debbie” Paulsen and Randy Paulsen; Brenda Grant and Joseph “Joe” Grant; her grandmother Charlene White; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Donald Bogart, Wanda Davenport, and Edward Dale White, as well as her nephews Justin Paulsen and David Briest, who was a nephew by marriage.
Those who knew Nikki remember her as a gentle soul, never speaking in anger, always greeting others with a beautiful smile and a warm, charming spirit. Her kindness and grace left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
