Reinhold Albert Baal

Reinhold Albert Baal, 96, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Sun City Center, Florida.

Born on April 29, 1930, in the United States, Reinhold spent his childhood in Germany before returning to the United States at the age of 20. He went on to live a long, fulfilling life defined by hard work, service, love for his family, and dedication to his community.

Reinhold was the proud owner of the New Rochelle Pork Store in New Rochelle, New York. Through his unwavering commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, and strong work ethic, he built a business that became a beloved part of the local community. His entrepreneurial spirit and integrity earned him the respect and friendship of many.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Reinhold served his country with honor. The values of discipline, perseverance, and service that he developed during his military service remained guiding principles throughout his life.

After retiring to Florida, Reinhold continued to devote his time and energy to the organizations and people he cared about. He was an active member of the Sun City Center Emergency Squad, the Triple Creek Radio Control Club, and the German-American Club. Through these organizations, he formed lasting friendships, shared his many interests, and found great satisfaction in giving back to his community.

Reinhold will be remembered for his kind and loving heart, his generosity, and his wonderful sense of humor. He had an easy smile, a quick wit, and a remarkable ability to make those around him feel welcome. His warmth and laughter touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted and loving common-law wife, Marty Gifford; his son, Eric P. Baal and his wife, Cherie; his daughter, Linda-Marie Burke and her husband, David; and 15 cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanore H. Baal.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Reinhold's life at a Memorial Gathering from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Sun City Center Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sun City Center.
