Therese Marie Tidwell

Therese (Terri) Tidwell, 98, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 She had a stroke on the previous Wednesday and spent only three days in the hospital. Terri was preceded by her first husband of 48 years, David Hogg and her second husband of 10 years, U D (Bud) Tidwell.

Terri was born in Massachusetts and spent most of her life in the Northeast. She moved to Atlanta, Ga with her husband, Dave and still has friends there. A year after Dave’s passing, she married Bud, a close family friend and widower and moved into his home in Sun City Center, FL.

Terri was admired by everyone for her stylish appearance and friendly outgoing personality.  She still lived independently and drove her car herself all the way to the end. She enjoyed dancing and in fact was on the dance floor at the Community Center enjoying and moving to the music on the Saturday evening the week before her passing.

She is survived by her nephew, Phil Gallos and stepdaughter and son in law, Andrea and Guy Dorey.

She is remembered with love by so many friends and loved ones.
