Thomas A. Payant

Thomas A. Payant, known as Tom, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 79.

Tom devoted 50 years to a career in financial services. Together with his wife, Robyn, he founded Payant Wealth Management Group. Working side by side for more than 40 years, they built a longstanding practice serving the Sun City Center community. They also designed and built Payant Financial Plaza and established Payant Insurance Solutions to help clients understand their Medicare choices.

Tom’s generosity extended well beyond his professional life. He supported many Christian ministries and served on the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Board. As longtime supporters of St. Joseph’s Hospital–South, Tom and Robyn contributed to the hospital’s growth and donated a Tele-Specialist Stroke Cart to help provide timely care for stroke patients.

Tom loved playing golf. His dedication to his work, his support of Christian ministries, and his commitment to his community leave a lasting legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn; two sisters; and nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Sun City Center Funeral Home.
