Alice Christine Lenick
October 22, 1934 — June 4, 2026
In Remembrance
Alice Christine Majewski Lenick, 91, of Hilton Head Island, died June 4th, 2026. Chris, as she was known, was born on October 22nd, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey, the fourth child of Adam Majewski and Lillian Dankowski.
She grew up with her sisters Helen and Doris attending Catholic grammar school in Union, New Jersey. Chris had a keen sense of what was right and acted on it throughout her life. In grammar school, when the nuns were mistreating her sister, she took her sister’s hand and walked out of school. After finishing high school, Chris graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University with a degree in dental hygiene.
On September 8th, 1956, she married Dr. Thaddeus Lenick. Together they went on to have three children, Dianna, Christine, and Thaddeus Jr. Her children were her pride and joy. It was important to her that they developed a strong sense of responsibility, loved learning and completed their education.
Over the course of her 69 year marriage she worked in tandem with her husband to build a thriving dental practice in northern New Jersey and raise their three children. Chris had an eye for real estate. She remodeled several homes moving the family from Morristown to North Caldwell then to two homes in Wayne, New Jersey.
Chris was a strong woman. She was not afraid to let you know what she was thinking and what you should be doing. At times this served her in this lifetime and at others it was complicated. Her outlets were creative with talents that came out in décor and a love for art. She traveled with her husband around the world including Europe, Antarctica, Japan and China.
Chris is survived by her sister Doris, three children, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Many thanks to Dr. Gary Thomas and his wonderful staff, also to the special care team at Seaside Senior Companions and Caregivers.
