Madison Alexandra Conner
Apr 4, 1994 — Oct 7, 2025
On October 7th, 2025, Madison “Maddie” Conner finished her courageous fight with Huntington’s disease and went home to be with God. She was one of His true warriors—brave, kind, and full of love. She accepted her disease with bravery and handled it with Grace. Now, she is surrounded by God’s love and reunited with her dad and so many others who went before her.
Born on April 4th, 1994, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Maddie moved to Bluffton, South Carolina at ten years old. She graduated from Bluffton High School and, in time, found her way back to her family’s lifelong passion—animals. Her connection with dogs was unmatched, and her love for them reflected the compassion she carried in every part of her life.
Maddie was a devoted mother to her beloved son, J. Brantley Kautter. She lives on through him, her mother, Karen Just, and her sister, Carmen “Izzie” Hincher—forever in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life for Maddie will be held on October 26th, from 2–5 p.m. at The Sippin’ Cow Restaurant in Old Town Bluffton. All are welcome to join in honoring her beautiful spirit.
Fittingly, Maddie’s one wish for her celebration was that it also serve as an opportunity for adoptable dogs to find loving homes. In her honor, adoptable dogs from the Beaufort County Animal Shelter will be present that day.
In lieu of any flowers, please consider a donation to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America or to your local animal shelter or rescue.
