Raymond "Ray" Eugene Tuttle, Jr.

Raymond Eugene Tuttle, Jr. , 103, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina died on September 23, 2026, in his home with his son by his side. He was born on April 27, 1923, to Raymond and Hazel Tuttle in Negaunee, Michigan.

Ray was a leader and built a life centered on hard work, service and the Episcopal Church. He graduated from Cornell University in 1948 with a BS and had a successful career working for Fortune 500 chemical companies. Ray also enlisted and proudly served in the Army during WWII from 1941-1946.

He married Margaret Wilharm in 1949 and enjoyed a lovely family with her until she died of cancer in 2008. He leaves behind his three children; Susan Tuttle Dame of Pompano Beach, Florida, Carolyn Tuttle of Evanston, Illinois and John Raymond Tuttle of Warren Vermont; his grandson, Daniel Tuttle Crane of Evanston Illinois; and two great grandchildren, Manan Jha Crane and Naima Jha Crane of Evanston Illinois.
