Robert Paul Boisvert

Robert Paul (Bobby) Boisvert passed away peacefully at his home on October 26, 2025, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He was 75.

Bobby was born on October 21, 1950, in Biddeford, Maine, the second of five children born to Raymond and Florence Boisvert. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Although eligible for VA benefits, Bobby never accepted them. He felt that because he hadn’t gone to war, he didn’t deserve them. That was the kind of man Bobby was, humble and selfless, always guided by quiet integrity.

After his military service, Bobby traveled across the United States, working as an aide for seniors and enjoying life on the road. His travels eventually led him to Vienna, Virginia, where he met Leslie Alida Learned, who became his wife and closest friend. The two married on April 24, 1982, and built a life together centered on family and friendship.

Bobby built a successful career in the field of automated banking and ATM security until his retirement. He and Leslie have two wonderful children, Nicole and Philip Boisvert, and later welcomed two grandchildren, Cameron Curry and Myyah Ebron. He adored his children and grandchildren and took great joy in raising them and being involved in their lives. Bobby was always welcoming and a gracious host to family and friends, making everyone feel at home. He had a warm, easygoing nature and a calm presence that made everyone around him feel at ease.

Those who knew Bobby will remember his big heart, unforgettable smile, and endless enthusiasm for his hobbies. He enjoyed trading cars and houses, always with an eye for a good deal, but his greatest passion was collecting sports cards. His prized collection took up a lot of room and time. He spent countless hours in his card room, carefully examining and preparing cards for grading. When he wasn’t with his cards, he could often be found at his fishing hole, another love of his. 

In 2018, Bobby and Leslie took a leap of faith and moved to Hilton Head Island, SC, to be near the ocean and enjoy warmer weather. 

Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Leslie; his children, Nicole and Philip; his grandchildren, Cameron and Myyah; his brothers, James, Steve, and Chris; and his extended family, including, nieces, and nephews, who loved him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a life beautifully lived. 

A Celebration of Life reception for Bobby will be held on April 25, 2026, at Clydes Willow Creek Farm, 42920 Broadland's Blvd, Broadland's, VA, 20148 From 4:30 to 7:30 pm.
