Dennis Musial

Dennis John Musial, 80, of Torrance, California, passed away peacefully at his home on September 8, 2026.

Born August 30, 1946, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Ramon Musial and Grace (Van Ghere) Musial. Dennis grew up in Berkeley, Illinois, and later lived in Hillside, Illinois. He spent the greater part of his life in Torrance, California, the community he called home for many years.

Dennis attended Proviso West High School in Hillside after which he served his country as a surgical technician at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. After his military service, he went on to study at the University of Illinois in Chicago (Chicago Circle) and then built a career as a Certified Public Accountant.

A man of deep faith, Dennis loved Jesus and especially enjoyed talking about Him with his sister Sharon. He took quiet pride in his 1980 Camaro, which he purchased brand new and drove faithfully for the rest of his life.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Sheridan Prendergast and Grace (Van Ghere) Prendergast and by his brothers, Mark Prendergast of Sandwich/Chicago, Illinois, and David Prendergast of Chicago (died in infancy). He is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Prendergast) Frueh of New Hope, Texas, and Janet (Prendergast) Cramer of Effingham, Illinois.

Dennis will be remembered for his steady presence, his faith, and the simple joys that marked his life.
