Larry filled his world with wonder during his 75 years of life.

Larry Timmins was born on April 24, 1951, in Norwalk, California. Larry was the beloved son of Arthur Thornton Timmins, Jr. and Virginia Katherine (Dumser) Timmins. 

Larry filled his world with wonder during his 75 years of life. He marked his journey through life by a curious and creative spirit. He graduated from William N. Neff High School in La Mirada, California in 1969. Later in his life, he received a CAD diploma from California Technical College in Santa Ana, California. His diverse career path included roles as a Foreman, Supervisor, Shirt Graphic Designer, Sales Representative, Customer Service Representative in various venues, and as Melter Operator at the Vitreous State Laboratory at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He brought dedication and skill to every service he gave.

Larry was a man of many talents. He possessed a fragile yet vibrant nature, which manifested in his love for photography and exploration of historical sites. His artistic eye and skilled hands created beauty from the ordinary.

Larry passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, after bravely facing multiple health issues. He was preceded in death by his parents who now welcome him with open arms. He is survived by his children: Jason (Julie) Timmins, Andrea (Chris) Amrein, and Matthew (Heather) Timmins; his grandchildren Jake Timmins, Jessica Timmins, Henry Amrein, Killion Timmins, Russell Timmins, and Mitchell Timmins; his sister, Sandra (David) Horton; and his nephews, Derek (Amy) Horton, Daniel (Kate) Horton and Delayne (Natalie) Horton.

We will forever hold Larry in our hearts. We remember this special message: "No God, No Peace; Know God, Know Peace." With this wisdom, it reminds us that what feels like the end is often the beginning, and in this new beginning, Larry is finally home. May he rest in eternal peace.

Larry's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Providence St. Jude Hospital for the care and kindness shown during his final days. Their support ensured that Larry's transition was filled with peace and dignity. 

A private burial at sea ceremony will be held to honor Larry's life. Any donations may be made in Larry's memory to the charity of your choice.
