Burton Robert Paulson

Jun 26, 1959 — Oct 13, 2026

Burt Paulson, 67, of Falcon, Colorado, passed away on October 13, 2026, in Falcon, Colorado.

Burt was born on June 26, 1959, in Martinez, California, to Burt and Patricia Paulson. He attended De La Salle High School, graduating in 1977, and went on to earn a degree in Technical Arts from Everett Community College. Burt dedicated 19 years of his professional career to Oracle, where he worked as a Senior Software Support Engineer.

Burt was an active member of the Schriever Poker Tour and Colorado Bourbon Society and was involved with Colorado Springs Special Olympics. He treasured the friendships, laughter, and sense of community these activities brought into his life.

Above all else, Burt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had an incredibly kind soul, a smile that could light up any room, and a gift for making everyone around him feel loved and welcomed. Burt never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Whether it was telling one of his famous dad jokes, intentionally singing the wrong lyrics to a song, or finding humor in the simplest moments, he had a way of bringing joy wherever he went. His laughter was contagious, his heart was enormous, and his kindness was genuine. To know Burt was to love him, and he was truly a light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Family was the center of Burt's world. Nothing meant more to him than his loving wife, seven children, 18 grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He took immense pride in his family and cherished every moment spent together. His unwavering love, infectious humor, and gentle spirit are gifts his family will carry with them forever.

Burt was preceded in death by his father, Burt Paulson; his sister, Louise Kaster; and his daughter-in-law, Chealse Paulson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sheryl Paulson and their seven children: Ronnie Paulson and his son, Kamen; Rachael (Jason) Douglas and their daughters, Ashlynn, Brooklynn, Kaydence, and Freyja; Krista (Craig) Baker and their children, Sevanah, Skye, Tristan, Cade, Keagen, and Trae; Kameron (Nichole) Paulson and their children, James (Jaiden), Emmonie, JayJay, Kloe, and Aaron; Jordan Paulson; Jannae Paulson; and Mackenzie (Gary) Crist and their daughters, Harper and Quinn. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Morgan; his mother, Patricia Paulson; and his sister, Kathy (Tom) Darden.

Burt will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired, the kindness he shared, and the love he gave so freely. The world was a brighter place with Burt in it, and those who knew him will carry a little of that light with them always.
