Joanne Lillian Jacober

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Joanne Jacober, 88, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at Brookdale Briargate. Joanne was born on December 18, 1936, to Walter and Lillian Cardwell in Rochester, New York. Joanne spent her early years in New York, before living in Las Vegas, Nevada, Palmdale, California, and Bullhead City, Arizona. Her later years were spent in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Joanne was predeceased by her husbands, Roy Brown (1990), and Bill Jacober (2009). She will be deeply missed by her children Brian (Linda) Brown of Turner Valley, AB, Tom (Jane) Willis of Remsen, New York, Tim (Sandy) Willis of Lees Summit, Missouri, Barbi (Grant) Kerr of Castle Rock, Colorado, Bobby (Mia) Brown of Kenai, Alaska, and Suzzie (Dale) DeMarchi of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and her sister Bev Guntrum of Honeoye, New York.

She leaves 10 treasured grandchildren: Dustin, Joshua, Christopher, Kara, Andrew, Amber, Kevin, Tony, Nathaniel, and Bryant, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Briargate for the loving and compassionate care Joanne received during her three-year residency. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Brookdale Briargate (7560 Lexington Dr, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920) on Friday, September 12 at 2:00 pm.
