Kenneth Paul Jordi

Kenneth Paul Jordi, 79, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on August 17, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 28, 1947, to Emil Jordi and Elizabeth “Betty” Jordi in Elgin, Illinois. Ken attended Elgin High School, graduating in 1965, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology along with associate’s degrees in mathematics and chemistry from Northern Illinois University.

Ken began his public service career as a police officer for the Greeley Police Department for three years before finding his true calling with the Colorado Springs Fire Department. He deeply loved his time in the fire service and took great pride in his work, serving as a driver/engineer for the final 14 years of his career before retiring from Station #14 on July 2, 1994.

Beyond his career, Ken had a profound love for the outdoors. He cherished opportunities to travel and appreciate God’s creation. He also had a lifelong love of baseball, and some of his favorite memories were made visiting ballfields with his family. A faithful and dedicated member of Woodmen Valley Chapel since 1986, he expressed his love for the Lord and his community by actively helping care for the church grounds and serving in numerous food drives.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jordi, and his father, Emil Jordi.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Jordi; his daughter, Jennifer Jordi; his daughter, Jill Olson, and her husband, Timothy; his grandson, Jacob Olson, his wife, Callie, and their son, Keaton Olson; his grandson, Jadon Olson; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Olson; his brother, Howard Jordi, and his wife, Pamela; his nephew, Matthew Jordi, and his wife, Misty; and his nephew, Mark Jordi, and his wife, Katrina, along with their children: Nathan Jordi and his wife, Brianna, Noah Jordi, and Joshua Jordi.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 290 E. Woodmen Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80919.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Woodmen Valley Chapel Cancer Care Group.
