Linda Renee Hjelmstad Loberg

Our beloved Linda Renee Loberg was born to Edgar and Adeline Hjelmstad. She unexpectedly passed away at the age of 79.

Linda grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1965 and later attended Moorhead State University. Throughout her career, she worked at Gate City Bank and Snelling & Snelling Personnel, and she also worked as a private investigator. Her final employment was with West Fargo Public Schools, where she retired in 2012 from the Title 1 reading program.

Linda and her husband, Don, lived in West Fargo for 55 years before moving in 2022 to Colorado Springs, CO, to live with their daughter. Linda was a passionate card and game player, participating in a card club for over 40 years. She loved writing poems and stories, was a fantastic storyteller, and found great joy tending to her beautiful flowers. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister-in-law, Nancy Loberg, and her father- and mother-in-law.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Don; her sister, Carol Forster (Norm); brother-in-law, Ronald (Brenda); and sister-in-law, Dianne Fulton. She is also survived by her daughter Alicia Loberg and her sons, Alex and Austin (Savana), and son, Lark; daughter Nikki Lamb and her children, Austin, Peyton (John Perrin), and daughter, Lily; Lucas, Elliot, Oliver, Harlo, Henri, and Lindon; daughter Amber (Adie) and children, Madison (Taylor Arne) and children, Jayce, Violet, and Lyla; and Zach Lennicx.

A private family service was held in Colorado Springs.
