Daren B Murray November 22, 1959 – July 30, 2026

With heavy hearts, we share that Daren passed away unexpectedly on July 30, while hiking in the Colorado mountains.

Daren was born November 22, 1959, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Donald and Arlene Murray. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1977 and briefly attended the University of Colorado Boulder. Following in his stepfather Terry’s footsteps, he built a dedicated career in HVAC and controls automation in Colorado Springs, retiring from Johnson Controls, Inc. in May 2025, after 20 years.

Daren will be remembered with love by all whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carmen Warner; his father, Donald Murray; and his stepmother, Anne Murray. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Jenna; mother, Arlene and stepfather, Terry Warner; brother, Valyn (Gretchen); sisters, Kimberly Hibbs (Jason) and Cynthia Funk (Brandon); bonus brothers Jonathan and Michael, and many extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 25, 11 am at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, 80909 with a reception immediately following.
