Ms Gwendolyn Duncan Green

Born December 25, 1934 and passed away on April 18th, 2026

She was born in Baltimore, MD.  She was a Christmas baby and an only child. As a young girl , she was very close to her grandfather and enjoyed time at his dairy farm.

In High school, besides academics, she loved playing in team sports and played the cello in the Orchestra.

After high school she married, James Walters, and we traveled quite a bit as our dad retired as a Lt Col in the Air Force.

She lived in Germany, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Lompoc, CA , Rancho Cordova, CA, and then settled here in Colorado, where she lived in Green Mountain Falls.

She was a retired nurse of 30+ years . Through-out her nursing career she provided home healthcare, worked at Brockhurst Ranch helping teens suffering from addiction, which teenagers there commented on the positive impact she had on their lives as a counselor . She also worked at Hospice, and then ended her career before retiring, working with children with severe medical special needs.

Our mom loved the mountains , gardening, and just being outdoors

She loved the arts and was very creative. She wrote, directed, and produced plays at the Woodland Park Community Center.

She loved baking... she would make homemade twinkies for us to take to school and also made homemade cherry cobbler and cherry pie. We had a family that lived two doors down, The Williams kids remembered her Christmas basket of goodies each year, and they were the best !!

She loved animals and was described by those that knew her as loving and kind-hearted

She is survived by her 5 children, Jim (Margie) Walters, Jeff (Stacie) Walters, Kim Walters (C. Kelly Wooldridge), Lisa (David) Pratt and Kelly (David) Jennings
