Lizabeth “Betsi” Jane Cheuvront

Mar 4, 1955 — May 27, 2026

Lizabeth “Betsi” Jane Cheuvront, 71, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on May 27, 2026, at her home in Colorado Springs.

Betsi was born on March 4, 1955, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Richard and Patricia Brestrup. She spent most of her childhood in Richfield, Minnesota.

Betsi graduated from Richfield High School in 1973 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Retail Merchandise from the University of Minnesota in 1978. After college, she agreed to accompany a friend to Aspen, Colorado, for the winter ski season. Her love for skiing, Aspen, and the Colorado lifestyle quickly grew, and what was intended to be a seasonal adventure became a lifelong home. During her years in Aspen, she joined a ski team and enjoyed several seasons of downhill ski racing. It was also there that she rededicated her life to Jesus Christ, a faith that became a guiding foundation throughout her life.

Betsi later moved to Durango, Colorado, with her first husband, Patrick, where they welcomed their daughter, Alison. While living in Durango, she built a successful career with Zales Jewelry, advancing to the position of Manager. Her outstanding performance earned regional recognition and an all-inclusive trip to Hawaii in appreciation of her hard work and achievements.

In 1995, Betsi moved with Alison to Littleton, Colorado. She eventually transitioned into a new career as an Insurance Broker, a profession she truly loved. Even at age 71, retirement held little appeal, as she remained passionate about helping her clients and serving her community.

Betsi met her second husband, Robert “Robb”, at a Christmas party, and they were married on June 27, 2004. Together they shared a love of skiing, traveling, watching sports, and dining at their favorite restaurants. In January 2026, they purchased a newly built home in Colorado Springs to be closer to their grandchildren and moved in shortly before her passing.

Throughout her life, Betsi was deeply involved in her communities. Whether serving asHOA President, volunteering at her church’s coffee bar, or leading Daily Communion devotional groups, she dedicated her time and energy to bringing people together and encouraging others in their faith.

Betsi found great joy in celebrating others. She loved hosting birthday parties, organizing brunches for her “gal pals,” and creating opportunities for friends and family to gather. Some of her happiest moments were spent on her back porch, surrounded by flowers, enjoying a cup of coffee. She loved to laugh and brought warmth, light, and joy to every gathering she attended.

Betsi is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Robb” Cheuvront; daughter Alison (Seth) McCoy; grandchildren Judah, Jonah, and Lydia McCoy; and brother Richard “Rick” (Cathy) Brestrup.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
