Michele Lyn Peretto-Ortega

May 10, 1969 — Oct 29, 2026

Michele Lyn Peretto-Ortega, 57, gained her wings on October 29, 2026, surrounded by love and family. Michele was born in Denver, Colorado on May 10,1969 to Michael Guilio Peretto and Esther Nell (Ferri) Peretto. She attended schools in Des Moines, New Mexico, and Trinidad, Colorado, graduating from Trinidad High School in 1987. She worked for the First National Bank in Trinidad for 32 years. She made her home in Colorado Springs, where she finally found her forever home, watched over by Pikes Peak. Michele was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, Avalanche fan, Colorado College Tigers fan, San Antonio Spurs fan, and Rockies fan. She loved sports, animals, Christmas and her Hallmark Christmas movies. She loved life and her friends, and now she will be our guardian angel.

Michele was united in marriage to the love of her life, Steven Edward Ortega, on February 23, 2002, and through this union, was blessed with the gift of motherhood to her daughter Kayleen Marina Peretto. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Esther, who she is now reunited with in Heaven. Along with her husband and daughter, she is also survived by her dad, Michael Peretto, her in laws, Steven A. Ortega (Carolyn), Bernadette Duran (Randy), and Carol Shulzkump; brothers and sisters in law, Carson and Liz Ortega, Kris and Ana Jensen, and Kade Monteith; nieces and nephews, Nick Papa (Charla), Riley Roy-Ortega (Marco), Jamison Roy Ortega, Lena Jo Montheith, Isabel and Paxton Jenson who are also her Godchildren; and three great-nephews, Cody, Holden, and Sterling Papa. She is also survived by five other Godchildren, Angelica Garduno, Leah Bailey, Sabrina Wood, Shantel Wood and Breanna Wood, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, her bank family, friends, and special "sisters" and "brothers," along with her beloved pets.
