Nancy Jean (Shuck) Crouse

Nancy Jean (Shuck) Crouse of Colorado Springs passed away August 17, 2026 at home. Nancy was born June 5, 1945 in Emporia, Kansas to Martin James and Dorma Jean Shuck. The family moved to Colorado Springs when Nancy was young. Nancy graduated from Palmer High School. Nancy married the boy next door Ronald Crouse on June 23, 1963. They were married for 63 years. Nancy worked in ceramics, retail and electronic hardware building fixtures and circuit boards. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, embroidery, crocheting, coloring and making homemade cards. A brand new box of crayons and a Christmas coloring book was her favorite. She loved to travel and was able to visit many countries and states. Nancy loved the ocean and time on the beach. She loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Time with family was her greatest joy. She loved being a mom, grandma and Nana. Nancy is survived by her two children, a daughter Jerri Crouse (ILA Ayers) of Colorado Springs and a son Stephen Crouse ( Gregg McCurdy Crouse) of Palm Springs, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, her  devoted husband, and a sweet precious great granddaughter. 

She will be greatly missed.
