In Loving Memory of Sheila Bailey

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Sheila Bailey, a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and cherished friend, who left this world on September 4, 2026, at the age of 56.

Sheila's life was a beautiful reminder that love can be found in the simplest of things—a warm smile, an unexpected hug, a handwritten letter, or a handmade trinket.

Sheila lived in Colorado Springs where she was surrounded by love and family, and she touched the lives of so many people who were fortunate enough to know her.

Sheila had a gentle and loving heart. She loved to color, draw, and write letters for the people who were special to her. She had a gift for making others feel remembered and loved. No matter who you were, Sheila seemed to have a smile and a hug waiting for you. Her kindness was genuine, her affection was freely given, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.

As a young woman in Texas, Sheila found another place where her determination and spirit could shine—Special Olympics. She proudly competed and earned countless gold, silver, and bronze medals. An injury eventually brought her competitive career to an end, but it could never take away the strength, courage, and joy she carried with her throughout her life.

When Sheila wasn't coloring, drawing, or writing letters to the people she loved, she could often be found enjoying one of her favorite pastimes—watching WWE. She watched with the same enthusiasm and personality that she brought to everything she loved.

Sheila was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Dora Gallegos; her father, Eddie Bailey; and her nephew, Michael Bailey.

Sheila leaves behind her brother, Donnie Bailey and his wife, Emily Bailey; her brother, Jerry Bailey and his wife, Christine Bailey; her sister, Faith Jones and her husband, Matt Jones; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves behind countless friends and loved ones whose lives were touched by her beautiful spirit.

Though Sheila's journey on earth has come to an end, the love she gave will remain. She will be remembered in the letters she wrote, the pictures she drew, the laughter she shared, the hugs she gave, and the countless memories she created with the people who loved her.

Sheila's life was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Rest peacefully, Sheila. May you always be surrounded by the love you so freely gave to others.
