Steven Troy McKelvey

Steven Troy McKelvey, father, son, brother, and grandpa of Peyton Colorado passed away on August 21, 2026 peacefully in his home.

He was born on July 9th, 1949 in Ottumwa Iowa, to Troy Lee McKelvey and Doreen Wheeler.

Steven went to high school at Hedrick High School and graduated in 1967. He worked at Bruening Rock Products in Decorah Iowa for several years. In 2017 he retired and moved to Colorado Springs.

Steven was very fun-loving, adventurous, and always trying to crack a joke to make people laugh. He also loved traveling with his family.

Steven is survived by his wife Fanny; four children; Jason McKelvey, Carrie McKelvey(Brain), Jamie McKelvey(Josh), Natalie McKelvey(Ricky); brother Ron McKelvey(Joyce) and sister Sue Cooper(David); 10 grandchildren; Tristin, Ella, Quinn, Charlotte, Cameron, Mckayla, Olivia, Lakelynn, Ensley, Rylee.

Steven will forever live within each heart. Forever loved, forever missed, forever in our heart.
